GENERAL MEETINGS

Half-Yearly General Meeting - Sunday 4 January 2026

Members are informed that the Half-Yearly General Meeting of Members of Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron Inc. will be held in the Southern Waters Room on Sunday, 4 January 2026 commencing at 9.30am.  The Notice of Meeting (together with supporting papers) can be viewed by clicking on the links below:

  5. Explanatory Paper.

 

There are a number of matters to be considered at the HYGM, including the setting of the Annual Subscription for 2026-27 and a number of changes to the BYS Rules.  An explanatory paper can be found at point 5 above.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may appoint a proxy using the Proxy Form, which is available here. If you simply wish to send an apology, please do so to Kate Poole at membership@bys.asn.au.

Extraordinary General Meeting

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron Inc.

The Executive Committee has convened an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held in the Southern Waters Room on 8 March 2025 commencing at 11am.  

Two resolutions are proposed.  The first resolution proposes an increase in the Annual Subscription of a Full Member from the current $1,012 to $1,050, an increase of 3.75%.  The second resolution proposes an alteration to Schedule A of the BYS Rules to increase the Annual Subscription of a Social Member to 75% of a Full Member. 

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may appoint a proxy using the Proxy Form, which is available by clicking the link below.  If you simply wish to send an apology, please do so to Kate Poole at membership@bys.asn.au.
