On Saturday the BYS Sailing Department attended the Australian Sailing instructor conference in preparation for the 2020 season. Sarah Ogilvie was the guest speaker for the day; sharing her journey on how the beginnings at Blairgowrie set a strong foundation for a life in sailing, how she developed her skills at BYS and how the people at BYS positively influenced her sailing career on and off the water. Gordon Hyde was a Senior Instructor at the conference and worked with power boat handling instructors to upskill their knowledge on the day. The conference was a great opportunity for our Sailing Department to upskill and learn from other clubs and people in sailing.
