As we know, the post covid peak continues to challenge how we live and the plans we have made and this year’s event is not immune to this impact and although the purpose of the event is resonating strongly in the community, converting commitments to entries has been an ongoing challenge!
There has been a large number of teams impacted by the need for team members to change plans due to extenuating circumstances and similarly for the volunteers and logistics involved in running the event – including yours truly now being in isolation for the next seven days. Accordingly, we feel it is best to not hold the event at this time but to postpone it to a later date.
Notwithstanding, the overwhelming response from all stakeholders that the purpose of the event and the need that it serves is immediate, the silent auction that is now running will continue through until next Sunday at 2.30 pm. You can view the items for auction online or see them on display at Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron. You can either bid directly on the google sheet or email Paul Devereux or text him directly to register your bid and we will endeavour to keep it up to date as best we can… and so please don’t hesitate to share with your friends as we look to maximise proceeds from the very generous donations that have been made.
In addition, the donation page will also remain open until the end of the month.
