Volunteers Needed

Thank you to all the members who have volunteered to assist with the Art Show this year, the volunteer roster will be circulated to you all once it’s completed. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to assist in the following areas:

To greet Art Show visitors during our Open Day Sessions for 3 hour shifts throughout the Show over Easter (15 to 18 April).
To assist with moving the art show display stands downstairs after the art show on Easter Monday.

Good Friday Viewing Sessions

Hourly viewing sessions are available between 12 – 6 pm. Tickets are limited in each session & bookings will close once tickets are sold for that session. Tickets are $30 and include a complimentary glass of bubbles or beer, finger food and an Art Show Catalogue. Tickets are available for purchase thru https://www.trybooking.com/BXGJN

Judge

Our judge this year is Danny Lacy from the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (MPRG). Danny started at MPRG as Senior Curator in 2016. Over the past 20 years he has had an active curatorial practice across a wide range of Australian artist-run and contemporary art spaces. During this time he has worked in some of the leading contemporary art spaces in Melbourne, most recently as Director of West Space (2012-2015). Previous positions have included Curator at Shepparton Art Museum (2010-12), Program Administrator at Monash University Museum of Art (2007-10) and Installation & Project Co-ordinator at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (2005-6). He completed a MA (Visual Culture) from Monash University in 2004. In May-August 2015 he was based in Singapore undertaking an Asialink Arts Management residency. We look forward to seeing who he judges to be the best at this year’s Easter Art Show.
