Silver for Harding & Wilmot at Hyeres

BYS Star Laura Harding Shines with Silver on World Stage

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is celebrating an incredible result from Laura Harding, who has claimed a breakthrough silver medal at French Olympic Week in the 49erFX alongside Annie Wilmot.

The result marks the pair’s first international medal together, making it a major milestone as they build towards the LA 2028 Olympic Games. They delivered a superb regatta, showing consistency, composure and real determination against a world-class fleet.

The event was also a golden one for Australia, with Matt Wearn continuing his dominance to take out ILCA 7, and Grae Morris charging to gold in the iQFOiL class.

Two golds and a silver mark an outstanding showing for the Australian Sailing Team, and for BYS, seeing Laura on the podium is a moment of real pride.

Congratulations Laura and Annie – we can’t wait to see what’s next!
