OutThere Sailing sessions are all about having fun and getting a taste for on-water activities. OutThere Sailing is a program that has been specifically designed for teenagers from 12 to 17 years old. It’s perfect for teens who want to try sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting.
This action-packed program will give you the opportunity to try one or all the following: sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddleboarding, powerboating and keelboating combined with beach games and activities. At BYS there is a big emphasis on having fun on and in the beautiful waters around Blairgowrie.

How does OutThere Sailing work?
The BYS OutThere Sailing is a 3 day program run on afternoons through summer. Participants will learn the basics of sailing and paddle boarding. All equipment is provided so there’s no need to have your own boat or stand-up paddleboard. There’s no long term commitment, it’s social and fun with a focus on being active outdoors. Activities are varied depending on the interests of the group and the weather conditions. You can come back and sign up for OutThere Sailing as many times as you like or you may like to progress your learning by completing a dinghy or keelboat course or join our Youth Sail Training program.
The program is delivered by experienced and engaging instructors.
Who should do this experience?
Teens who are water confident, looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with other teenagers. You do not need to be a member of Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron, though we welcome membership enquiries.
Cost
