We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a part in making our 2023 Oaks Day event a tremendous success. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our dedicated members and their guests, the generous supporters who contributed fantastic raffle items, and special mentions to Rear Commodore Ian Delmenico and Denis Liubinas for expertly managing the sweeps. A big shout-out to Vice Commodore Georgina Plumridge, whose exceptional skills as the MC added a fantastic touch to the day, and a sincere acknowledgment to the working group, including Di Kleinert, Marilyn Cunnington, Deborah Cristofaro, and Jayne McKenzie.
The sun was shining throughout the day, the sweeps were a sell-out, and we enjoyed some great horse races. The bubbles were perfectly chilled, and the fashion on display was nothing short of amazing.
In particular, we were honoured to have Jayne Parish, Mentis Director of Community Services and Business Development, join us for the event. Her presence was truly appreciated, and she left us with a heartfelt note of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this memorable day!
