SHESAILS
Open, inclusive and very much focused on women
SheSails is a national initiative that’s all about encouraging more and more women to explore and enjoy their own sailing adventure in a fun, friendly and gender safe environment. But it’s more than that. It recognises all of the amazing female contributors to our sport. Whether you’re sailing for the first time, returning to the sport or are an active sailor there are a variety of social SheSails activities both on and off the water for you to get involved in.
At BYS our SheSails sailing program caters for all skill levels. To give it some structure and help you progress from novice to experienced sailor our SheSails Pathway program looks like this.
FIND THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU
The SheSails Experience
Provides a hands-on experience of sailing on one of our club boats with an experienced instructor and female crew.
A Discover Sailing experience is a three hour sailing experience at an accredited Discover Sailing Centre, without the technical detail of a course, for families, friends or work colleagues. Having a chance to use the club’s social facilities is as much a part of the experience as is getting out on the water. This is the perfect taster for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time. It is an ideal way for you to begin your sailing journey, without having to commit to a full training course.
