RACE DOCUMENTS AND ENTRY
Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron warmly invites all competitors to the 2025 Women’s Sportsboat Sprint Series, to be held on the picturesque waters of southern Port Philip on 15th and 16th March 2025.
The series will feature two days of short, sharp windward-leeward racing, designed to provide an excellent opportunity for competitors to sharpen their skills in a high-energy format.
Entry is open with options to BYO J/70 or use a supplied J/70 and we encourage teams of four or five sailors. The short format races of around ten to fifteen minutes without spinnakers will keep competitors close together so that everyone is part of the action. No need to worry if you have a bad race as the next one won’t be far away!
After racing on Saturday, participants are invited to enjoy a meal and hear from inspiring guest speakers in our Southern Waters Room, which is included in the regatta entry fee. On Sunday, the series will conclude with a presentation on the deck, celebrating the achievements of all involved.
This event is made possible through the generous support of the Club’s J/70 boat owners, who kindly make their boats available for the series.
There are five loan boats available for the event, so don’t delay your entry.

RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron invites you to a special International Women’s Day dinner event: Rising to the Challenge: Accelerating Action for Women in Sailing.
This inspiring evening will feature guest speakers sharing their personal stories – overcoming barriers, achieving success, and shaping the future of women in our sport. As we embrace this year’s IWD theme, Accelerate Action, we’ll discuss how increasing female participation benefits all sailors, creating a stronger, more inclusive sailing community.
Sailors competing in the Women’s Sportsboat Sprint Series have dinner tickets included with their regatta entry fee. Additional tickets can be purchased for family and friends.

Dinner: Two-course set meal – $55. Drinks at bar prices.
All BYS members and guests are welcome – this is an event for everyone!
Bookings essential, dinner ticket sales close Saturday 8 March.
