Heat 2 Aero Icebreaker Series – Saturday 21 June 2025
BYS winter sailing at its finest: clear blue sky, tepid but bright sunshine, 10-12 knots from the north with a little warmth in the air and all augmented by a dozen enthusiastic Aero sailors.
We also got to welcome John Foreman to the fleet for his first Aero sail. John’s inclusion now brings our fleet to 22 boats! Phenomenal growth in the past 12 months.
Rob Hartnett took an early lead which he never relinquished with Smarty revelling in his preferred conditions coming 2nd. Geoff Smith led the 6 rigs, but with Marty in striking distance for most of the race.
A warm lunch followed where an impromptu “Tips & Tricks” session gave us a chance to hear from Rob and Geoff about their winning techniques.
