Youth Sportsboat Regatta 2025

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is pleased to invite all competitors to the 2025 Youth Sportsboat Regatta, to be held at Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula on 5th and 6th April 2025.

The regatta format is short course fleet racing in J/70s, with sixteen races scheduled over the weekend. Competitors can enter using their J/70 or opt to use a supplied boat. The regatta is open to sailors aged 15 – 30 years in teams of four or five sailors; skippers of loaned boats must be at least 18 years old.

The regatta will showcase and encourage young adults in sailing, it is generously supported by BYS Past Commodore through his financial contribution, and by the Club’s J/70 boat owners who make their boats available for this event. 

A casual competitors dinner will be held on Saturday night in the Racing Lounge, with dinner tickets included in the regatta entry fee. On Sunday, the series will conclude with a presentation on the deck, celebrating the achievements of all involved.

There are six loan boats available for the event, so don’t delay your entry.
