BLAIRGOWRIE YACHT SQUADRON
Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron, located on the southern shores of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, is one of Australia’s premier sailing clubs and a favourite among regatta sailors. With its modern clubhouse, sheltered waters of southern Port Phillip, and easy access to open water, BYS offers exceptional racing conditions for sailors of all levels. The Club’s experienced race management team, dedicated volunteers, and welcoming community make it a standout venue for championship events — combining world-class sailing with a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
ACCOMODATION
The Mornington Peninsula offers a wide range of accommodation to suit every budget and group size — from holiday homes and boutique hotels to motels, apartments, and camping options. Blairgowrie itself has a variety of great places to stay, and nearby towns like Rye, Sorrento, and Portsea are all conveniently located within a short drive of the Yacht Squadron. If you’re looking for more budget-friendly options, consider expanding your search to Rosebud, where you’ll find a variety of motels and family holiday parks.
A popular summer holiday destination, we recommend booking early, as accommodation fills quickly during January. For quality beach holiday rentals, Coast & Country Getaways is a trusted local provider with homes available across the Peninsula. Moody’s Motel is located across the road from the Club, and offers a range of room sizes.
