Summer Clubhouse Reservations
Bookings for lunch and dinner in the Southern Waters Room are now open through to 26 January. Please reserve via your member portal or by calling the Clubhouse.
Walk-ins are welcome on The Deck and in the Racing Lounge, with family-friendly dining from 5.30pm.
To ensure we can cater for as many members and their guests as possible we have moved all dining areas, including the Southern Waters Room, to the same order-and-pay-at-the-bar system that we use throughout the year. This allows meals and drinks to be served more efficiently, ensures consistency in managing demand, particularly on busy days and event weekends, and provides a more relaxed atmosphere that allows everyone to enjoy the Club’s facilities comfortably.
To help our kitchen team serve you efficiently, we kindly ask that all food orders for your table are placed together once all guests have arrived. This ensures that everyone’s meals can be prepared and delivered at the same time.
To ensure fair access to the Southern Waters Room during peak season, table sizes will be limited to 10 people, with strict booking times. Tables will be held for 15 minutes past the reservation time before being offered to members on the waitlist.
Member Lanyards
As the Club gets busier, please remember to wear your red lanyard. This helps staff identify members, sign in guests, and maintain compliance. From Boxing Day, security will be onsite and may request to see your lanyard or member card.
Clubhouse Summer Team
We also welcome many new summer casual Clubhouse staff—for some, it’s their first job—so thank you for your patience as they learn. Be sure to introduce yourself and make them feel welcome. Staff and security will also be more diligent in ensuring all guests are signed in.
Guests of Members – we have a new sign in system
Members must sign in all guests on arrival and remain with them at all times. Guests must retain the printed sign in slip while onsite. Guests are limited to 12 visits per year (6 between May–Oct, 6 between Nov–Apr). From Boxing Day to 1 February, members may bring up to 10 guests at any one time.

There’s no better place to relax in laid back style…

 The Southern Waters Room

At BYS we know how important it is to have everything just right. Especially when you look forward to a cosy meal with the family or a relaxed get together with friends.

While we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we’re serious about making sure you have a great time, every time you visit. In our signature dining room, the Southern Waters Room, you’ll enjoy a relaxed vibe complemented by a modern Australian menu featuring fresh local produce and seafood. You’ll find the wine list is extensive with the best Mornington Peninsula wineries and breweries represented.

 The Racing Lounge and Deck

Once you ‘feel’ the breathtaking panoramic views of  Port Phillip Bay, you may not want to leave.

If a more casual dining experience is what you enjoy, you can’t go past the Racing Lounge. Opening out onto the sun-drenched upstairs deck, it’s a great destination for pre-dinner drinks while taking in the spectacular sunsets over Point Nepean and out to the Heads.  In winter there is no better place to be than enjoying the couches in front of the warming fire.
