BYS Easter Art Show 2019

This year we celebrated our 10th Easter Art Show and a lot has changed since our first show in 2009 in the old club house! We showcased a broad range of artistic works in a variety of media, increasing our sculptures once again adding an extra dimension to the show that was very well received. We are still tallying up the final results of the Art Show but the feedback has been that it has been the ‘best show’ on the Mornington Peninsula this year. We had 374 works on display from 122 artists, of which 81 were sculptures. Commissions were also taken for additional works during the Art Show.

The Opening Night was sold out prior to the event and was sponsored by Moonee Ponds Periodontics & Implant Centre, Foxeys Hangout and Mornington Peninsula Brewery. It was a fun night enjoyed by all and provided an opportunity for guests to speak directly with artists. The Art Show was officially opened by Greg Hunt MP and Gus van der Heyde was our judge and announced the artist awards as follows;
