Linda Weil
We’d like to introduce you to Linda Weil who was awarded Best In Show last year for her work “Eyrie”. Linda has over 40 years experience as a professional artist specialising in all forms of drawing medium, particularly graphite. Linda is known for her engaging and detailed drawings of wildlife, nature studies and found objects. In the past decade Linda has returned to her love of imaginative, science fiction and fantastical works. Melding her experience as a naturalist artist with a mechanical bent, Linda’s art may reflect a steam punk vision of the world, an intricate exploration of an animal’s fur, or the discovery of the history of a found object – all expressed through graphite with hints of colour pencil. We look forward to presenting her work over the Easter weekend.
Good Friday Viewing Sessions
Our open night function traditionally held on Good Friday will continue in the revised format of hourly viewing sessions during the day. Members will have the opportunity to view and purchase works by appointment only between 12noon and 6pm on Good Friday. Each member will receive an invitation of how to purchase tickets to attend a viewing session in the coming days.
Volunteers Needed
The Art Show Committee is looking for volunteers to help greet Art Show visitors for 3 hour shifts throughout the Show over Easter (15 – 18 April). We are also looking for a volunteer to put our advertising bikes out in the community. If you would like to help out please contact Andrea at byseasterartshow@gmail.com advising your best contact details and availability. It’s a great way to meet more members and some lovely people.
