A team of four youth members from BYS travelled to Royal Geelong Yacht Club over the weekend to compete in the Sailing Champions League Asia Pacific Southern Qualifiers, as a part of the Festival of Sails. The team consisted of Ethan O’Brien, Hayden Harding, Hannah Danks and Alex Bolton, and they sailed on RS21s over the two-day regatta. Although some challenging conditions presented themselves, with light and shifty winds throughout the regatta, the youth squad came fifth overall! This fantastic result qualifies them for the Sailing Champions League Asia Pacific Finals in Sydney, to be held at the start of April later this year.
