Art Show Volunteers

The BYS Easter Art Show is a vital fundraising event dedicated to supporting the BYS patrol boat fleet, essential for race management and junior & youth sailing. Sailing is the heart of BYS, and this art show is the only fundraising activity specifically dedicated to ensuring the success of these critical programs.

Since its inception in 2010, the Easter Art Show has raised enough funds to purchase three new patrol boats, making a lasting impact on the club’s sailing initiatives. It has also become one of the premier art shows on the Mornington Peninsula, showcasing incredible talent while supporting an important cause.

The Art Show is held over the Easter weekend in the Southern Waters Room showcasing a broad range of artistic works from a variety of media including indoor and outdoor sculpture. Outdoor sculpture takes pride and place on the deck and lawn which adds to the ambiance of the club.

There is an opening night function traditionally held on Good Friday. The Art Show is open from 10:00am-5:00pm on Easter Saturday & Easter Sunday and 10:00am -2:00pm on Easter Monday.

Throughout the Easter weekend we have many members volunteering in a variety of ways;

• to assist with the set up and pack up of the Art Show
• to welcome guests to the Art Show
• to assist with the Silent Auction
• to assist with the collection of sold artworks
