Over 4 days (18-21 January 2020), 64 sailors from around Australia and New Zealand gathered at Mordialloc Sailing Club for the 2020 Australian Open Skiff (formerly Open Bic) Championships. BYS was represented by Lucas James and Ellie Cowell (Gold Fleet) and Will James (Silver Fleet).
The regatta featured a range of sailing conditions and very high quality fleets. On a separate course and start, over 11 races and against 21 competitors, Will sailed to victory, winning the 2020 Australian Open Skiff Championships (Silver Fleet) and Ellie was first Under 13 female (Gold Fleet). Congratulations to our BYS sailors who participated.
